Taken in with the scheme, Zao grants them his only remaining Airship still intact from the attack.Īs their Airship passes over the Valley Region, Lilac & Carol has a conversation about going on a space adventure. The Team then manages to convince Zao to send them to act as ambassadors to negotiate with Shuigang for the Kingdom Stone.
During the dinner, Torque takes the opportunity to ask about a statue of the Dragons of the Before Time, to which he is taught the history of Avalice (from Zao's Point of View). Since Zao's Airships are damaged and need time for repairs, Lilac and the others accept the offer. Afterwards, the Team meets up with Mayor Zao, who invites them to a royal feast as a thank you to them for destroying the Robopanther, which he has claimed a fragment of. Shuigang's Sky Battalion have bombed Shang Mu and taken the Kingdom Stone. They regroup outside a shopping mall and work together to defeat Serpentine and his Robopanther, but by then, it's too late. Before any explanations can be given, however, a ship attacks them, forcing the group to scatter. Despite his reservations about getting in a plane again after what happened last time, he and the girls fly themselves to Shang Mu's Commercial District, where they encounter Spade again. There, he asks the Team to act as a neutral party to travel to Shang Mu and negotiate with Zao in returning the Kingdom Stone. The next day, Torque and Team Lilac meets with General Gong in a Ravine north of the Treehouse. Torque is uncomfortable with their offer, out of fear of losing another crew, but since he didn't know the planet well, he accepts their help, though he binds them into secrecy regarding their mission, to avoid the whole world thinking their crazy. Upon learning of this, Lilac, Carol & Milla immediately volunteer to help him stop Brevon and get the Stone back, with Carol calling themselves Team Lilac. His cover blown, Torque comes clean about his identity as a Chaser for the Coalition of Planets and his Mission to stop Lord Brevon and to recover or destroy the Kingdom Stone to keep it out of Brevon's hands. However, Carol catches him outside of his disguise and alerts Lilac, both of whom sees his true appearance. Later that night at the Treehouse, Torque kindly turns down Lilac's offer to hang out, in favor of fixing his gadgets inside a tent (and to not reveal his True Identity). Lilac & Carol's efforts for success were little, as their Rival, Spade steals the Kingdom Stone for Zao, and Lilac befriends Milla, an Orphaned Puppy whose been living alone in the woods and had been following Lilac with a desire to meet a Dragon. At Lilac's Treehouse, Torque warns the Girls that Mayor Zao is planning to steal the Kingdom Stone, and leaves it to them to get his warning to the Ancient Temple while he searches for his missing stuff lost in the crash. However, he is rescued by a Dragon Girl named Lilac, and is soon met by her best friend: a Wildcat called Carol. As he makes his way through the Valley Region, Torque is caught by Brevon's top General Serpentine, who demanded to about the whereabouts of any other Chasers on Avalice. After his ship is shot down by Choppers and crash lands in Dragon Valley, Torque patches together a "Shellduck" disguise to cover his alien appearance (and to maintain a "Prime-Directive"). When Brevon's warship, the Dreadnought, crash lands on the nearby Planet Avalice, Torque follows him.īy the time Torque arrives on Avalice, Brevon had already invaded Shuigang, where he infiltrated the Palace murdered the Kingdom's Ruler and brainwashed his Son, Prince Dail. He swore to his dying Captain that he wouldn't let Brevon succeed in stealing the Kingdom Stone, even if he has to destroy it. In a previous encounter with Brevon, Torque's Captain and previous Chaser Crew were killed or corrupted by the Warlord himself, leaving Torque himself as the sole survivor.
